• Are these models suitable for beginners?

  Look for Easy or Medium difficulty in the filters.
  
  Pendulum balance toys (like Sky Captain, Road Tripper, Santa on Sleigh, Ocean Fisher) and smaller vehicle kits are great first projects.

• Are these good for display or just for play?

  Both, but they’re especially designed as display-worthy models:

  
  Product descriptions highlight them as great for collections, desks, bookshelves and offices, thanks to realistic design and wood finish.
