Stag Beetle–Inspired Mechanical Design

ROKR combines the recognizable body, oversized mandibles and layered wings of a stag beetle with exposed machinery and steampunk detailing. The result is an intricate mechanical model that retains the insect’s distinctive silhouette.

Moving Mechanical Jaws

The asymmetrical black-and-silver mandibles open and close in a simulated biting movement. Visible gears and connecting mechanisms support the armored appearance of this prominent Storm Beetle feature.

Metal-Etched Vibrating Wings

Touch the control on the display base to activate the model. Its elytra rise above the metal-etched membranous wings, which can vibrate up to 920 times per minute during operation.

Decorative Back-Mounted Turrets

Twin turret-inspired components sit behind the beetle’s armored body, surrounded by pipes, layered panels and metallic mechanical details. They are decorative science-fiction elements and should not be described as functional projectiles.

Cycling Blue Energy Indicator

The reactor-inspired light sits in the center of the beetle’s back. Its illumination cycles through steady, dimming and flashing effects, adding another animated detail to the completed mechanical model.

Protective Elytra Wing Covers

Raised black elytra frame the blue energy light and cover the delicate etched wings when lowered. Copper-colored borders, vents and printed markings strengthen their armored, industrial appearance.
